It's hard to imagine the wintery season without thinking of hot cocoa. This hot cocoa peppermint mocha latte really makes a good case for me rolling out of bed in brisk weathered mornings. This recipe is more old-fashioned with actual cacao powder and brown sugar, but you can use instant hot chocolate packets too. 
  • 1/3 cup of water
  • 3 tbsp of cacao powder
  • 1 tsp of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of coffee
  • 4 Peppermint candy canes
  • Whipped Cream
  • In a pan add 3 peppermint candy canes and 3 tbsp of water, heat and stir until dissolved. Add mixture to a mug. 
  • In another pan, add cacao powder, brown sugar, and remaining water. Bring to a boil and stir mixture until all is dissolved. 
  • Add cacao mix to the mug and then add hot coffee (we recommend our Be Merry Blend).
  • Top off with whipped cream and decorate with candy cane. Enjoy!
