Details
Honey, melon, and orange. Sweet, bright, and beautifully expressive.
This small-lot Guatemalan specialty coffee is produced by Ellen Prentice at Finca de Dios, our family farm in Fraijanes, Guatemala.
Originally part of the harvest used for our traditional Don Roberto coffee, this particular lot stood out during quality evaluation for its distinctive sweetness and notes of honey and melon. Its cup profile was so unique that we separated the coffee to showcase it on its own.
What makes this coffee special?
Sometimes an exceptional coffee reveals itself in the cup.
This limited lot is made entirely from the Bourbon coffee variety, grown at 1,750 meters and carefully handpicked at peak ripeness.
After harvest, the coffee undergoes a 36-hour fermentation before being double washed to create a clean, bright cup. It is then slowly sun-dried on raised beds to preserve its sweetness, clarity, and delicate fruit characteristics.
The result is a small lot that offers a distinctly different expression of coffee grown at Finca de Dios.
What does this Bourbon coffee taste like?
Expect a sweet and bright cup with notes of honey, melon, and orange.
Honey brings a soft, lingering sweetness, while melon and orange add fresh fruit character and brightness. The result is a clean and expressive coffee for those who enjoy nuanced, fruit-forward specialty coffees.
From Our Family Farm in Fraijanes
This coffee is grown at Finca de Dios, our founder's family farm in the mountains of Fraijanes, Guatemala.
Produced by agronomist and specialty coffee producer Ellen Prentice, the lot reflects our focus on evaluating coffees individually and recognizing when a particular harvest deserves to stand on its own.
What began alongside Don Roberto became something entirely its own.
