Details
Toffee, red apple, and chocolate fudge. Sweet, balanced, and beautifully smooth.
This limited Guatemalan specialty coffee comes from Finca de Dios, our founder’s family farm in Fraijanes, Guatemala, where it was produced by Ellen Prentice.
Originally part of the harvest used for our traditional Don Roberto coffee, this small lot stood out during tasting for its distinctive sweetness and flavor. With notes of toffee and red apple emerging in the cup, we knew it deserved to be separated and enjoyed on its own.
What makes this coffee special?
Sometimes an exceptional coffee reveals itself in the cup.
During quality evaluation, this particular lot showed a flavor profile distinct from our traditional Don Roberto coffee. Its natural sweetness, red apple character, and rich toffee notes made it unique enough to separate as a small, limited lot.
The coffee is grown at 1,750 meters in Fraijanes, where high elevation and cool growing conditions allow the cherries to mature slowly and develop sweetness and complexity.
Made from Caturra and Bourbon varieties, the coffee is fully washed for a clean, balanced cup and slowly sun-dried to preserve its quality.
What does this Guatemalan coffee taste like?
Expect a sweet and balanced cup with notes of toffee, red apple, and chocolate fudge. The combination of fruit, caramel-like sweetness, and chocolate creates an approachable yet distinctive coffee that's easy to enjoy cup after cup.
