Details

Floral, peach, and panela. Clean, delicate, and beautifully sweet.

Pacas Reserva is a single-origin Guatemalan specialty coffee produced by Ellen Prentice at Finca de Dios, our founder's family farm in Fraijanes, Guatemala.

This special microlot is made entirely from the Pacas coffee variety and grown at 1,750 meters. At this high elevation, cooler mountain conditions allow the coffee cherries to mature slowly, helping develop the sweetness and complexity found in the final cup.

What makes Pacas Reserva special?

Pacas Reserva is a small, carefully selected lot that showcases the character of a single coffee variety and a single origin.

Ellen Prentice, an agronomist and specialty coffee producer, has managed Finca de Dios for more than 10 years with a focus on quality throughout cultivation, harvest, and processing.

After harvest, Pacas Reserva is double washed to create a remarkably clean and clear cup. The coffee is then slowly sun-dried on raised beds to preserve its sweetness and delicate flavor characteristics.

The result is an elegant expression of high-altitude coffee from Fraijanes, with floral aromatics, juicy peach, and the rich sweetness of panela.

What does Pacas Reserva taste like?

Pacas Reserva is a clean, delicate, and naturally sweet coffee with floral, peach, and panela notes.

Juicy peach brings brightness to the cup, while panela adds a rich, sugar-like sweetness and the floral aromatics create an elegant finish.

For coffee drinkers who enjoy nuanced, bright, and expressive coffees, Pacas Reserva offers a beautiful example of the Pacas variety grown in Guatemala.

What is Pacas coffee?

Pacas is an Arabica coffee variety known for producing high-quality coffees in Central America. At Finca de Dios, we grow Pacas at high elevation in Fraijanes and carefully process select lots to highlight the variety's natural sweetness and complexity.
